Outstanding museums, libraries, archives and research institutes make the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation one of the world’s biggest cultural and academic institutions. Merged under its umbrella is a unique mix of arts, culture, academia and research that makes it a modern, dynamic, future-oriented organization. In addition to this vital role in cultural, educational and academic life, the foundation is also one of the largest nonacademic research institutes for the humanities and social sciences in Germany and beyond. As a vibrant portal for knowledge, it is constantly reinventing itself as a place that stimulates curiosity by engaging with a variety of questions on art, culture and anthropological history, as well as the perspectives on the future that emerge from these.
We redesigned the foundation’s annual report, creating a new format that inspires despite its compact and unostentatious proportions. The usual essentials – visitor numbers, an overview of successful projects, a look back over the year to date – are accompanied by a strong emphasis on future undertakings and prospects. By showcasing content-focused discourse, this format enables readers to participate in a discussion of global issues.
